NewFrontiers QuickStart for SAP upgrades Analytical Capabilities to latest version of Oracle BI
NewFrontiers has upgraded the front end for QuickStart making best use of the latest and powerful intuitive capabilities of Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI) like drilling up/down hierarchies, ad hoc querying, pivot table analysis, graphics, alerting and navigated analysis.
Nieuwegein, The Netherlands, October 31th, 2007 – NewFrontiers, a specialist provider of BI solutions for SAP and Siebel, today announced the improved look and feel of its enterprise management reporting solution: QuickStart for SAP.
QuickStart for SAP was first released in June 2006 and is based on standard Oracle technology, following a joint development project between both companies to enhance connectivity to SAP R/3. “The first versions of QuickStart were built on Oracle’s previous analytical tool called Discoverer. At the beginning of this year we have ported our solution on Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI formerly known as Siebel Analytics) to deliver like for like value based on the latest technology” says Bert De Backer, Product Manager QuickStart at NewFrontiers. “What we can now offer to our customers is the best of the capabilities of OBI like drilling up/down hierarchies, ad hoc querying, pivot table analysis, graphics, alerting and navigated analytics”.
QuickStart combines the use of Database 10g, Fusion Middleware (OWB) and Oracle BI with the QuickStart pre-packaged business content supporting all of the major SAP Business modules. The content has been developed during eight years experience of implementing BI solutions for SAP customers. The solution is further enhanced with the support of IBM P Series hardware, enabling it to be sold as a plug and play appliance. QuickStart provides significant savings in both time and cost when compared to other alternative solutions for enterprise management reporting from SAP, from initial deployment through to follow on phases of the project, as the solution is based on open standards and does not need skilled SAP developers.
