About the QuickStart
NewFrontiers developed the QuickStart for organisations that needed to efficiently and rapidly unlock the data and information contained in their SAP R/3 transaction systems. Experience showed them that the only way these organisations would truly derive maximum ROI and competitive advantage would be based on their ability to deliver valuable business insight as and when the business demanded it.
QuickStart for SAP R/3 was first released in June 2006 and is based on standard Oracle technology, following a joint development project between both companies to enhance connectivity to SAP R/3. It combines the use of Database 10g, Fusion Middleware (OWB) and Oracle BI with the QuickStart pre-packaged business content supporting all of the major SAP Business modules. The content has been developed during eight years experience of implementing BI solutions for SAP customers. The solution is further enhanced with the support of IBM P Series hardware, enabling it to be sold as a plug and play appliance. QuickStart provides significant savings in both time and cost when compared to other alternative solutions for enterprise management reporting from SAP, from initial deployment through to follow on phases of the project, as the solution is based on open standards and does not need skilled SAP developers.
